Spicy Asian Style Lamb – Stir Fry
- Prep: 10 minutes
- Total: 25 minutes
Meat
Ingredients
- 1 cup of (leftover roasted) lamb meat (cut into strips)
- 1 red onion (finely sliced)
- 2 garlic cloves (finely sliced, minced)
- 1 chili pepper (finely sliced)
- a handful of Chinese Chives (rough cut)
- 2 tbsp of (peanut) oil
- toasted sesame seeds (optional)
- salt & pepper to taste
For the sauce:
- 2 tbsp soy sauce (low sodium)
- 1 tbsp hoisin
- 1 tsp ginger (optional)
- ½ tbsp oyster sauce
- 2 tsp chili oil (or less or more)
- ½ tsp 5-spice powder
Instructions
1. Prepare your ingredients by slicing, mincing or cutting them and make your sauce by adding the ingredients to a bowl and mixing them. Place everything on a plate so you’re ready to toss them in the pan when you’re going to cook.
2. Heat some oil in a wok or non-stick pan and add your lamb meat. Season with salt & pepper and stir for 2-3 minutes on high heat. Then remove the lamb with a slotted spoon and leave the excess oil in the pan.
3. Add your onions, garlic, chili pepper. Stir on high heat and add back in your lamb meat. After 2-3 minutes add your sauce and stir well. When the ingredients are coated with the lamb meat, finish with Chinese Chives and garnish with toasted sesame seeds. Enjoy!
TIP:
- Add crunchy veggies or steamed veggies as a side and serve with rice or noodles.
