Turn that "lost bread" into something delicious!

Savory Eggy Toast

- 6 slices of baguette
- 2 large eggs or 3 small ones
- 2 garlic cloves (minced)
- 2 tbsp Parmesan cheese (grated)
- 1 tbsp parsley (finely chopped)
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 2-3 tbsp olive oil
- salt & pepper to taste

NOTE: this recipe was inspired by ’s Savoury French Toast.


1. Slice your baguette in 1½ cm pieces.

2. Then in a bowl whisk you eggs together withe minced garlic, chopped parsley, grated Parmesan cheese, onion powder and salt & pepper to taste.

3. Heat up 2-3 tbsp of olive oil in a pan and allow it to get hot

4. The coat each slice of bread with the eggy mixture and cook for about 2 minutes each side until the bread is gold.

5. Place the slices on some kitchen towel paper to suck in any excess oil and serve immediately!

- Serve your eggy toasts with a tomato chutney, smoked salmon & avo or just have them on its own.
