This puff pastry snack is easy to make and perfect for your cheese platter!

Puff Pastry w/ Goat Cheese & Dates

Ingredients
- 4 sheets of puff pastry (thawed)
- 6-8 fresh dates (sliced)
- goat cheese (in slices)
- egg (beaten)
- salt & pepper to taste
- baking paper
For garnish:
- cress or parsley (finely chopped)
- pine nuts (toasted)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 200 °C or 392 F
- Place the puff pastry sheets on the baking paper.
- Crumble some goat's cheese over each slice of puff pastry (leave a 1 cm edge). Then divide the sliced dates over the crumbled goat cheese and season the dish with some salt and pepper.
- Brush the edges of the puff pastry with the beaten egg and bake the puff pastry snack for 10-15 minutes.
- When the puff pastries are cooked, garnish with cress or finely chopped parsley and toasted pine nuts.
TIPS:
- Serve this snack for lunch with a fresh salad.
- Vary with nuts, such as Brazil nuts, walnuts or pecans.
