Granola w/ White Chocolate Chunks & Dried Strawberries

  • Prep: 5 min
  • Total: 30 min

  • Vegetables

Ingredients

- 1 batch of Basic Granola w/ Almonds
- ¼ cup dried strawberries (I got mine from Action)
- ¼ cup white chocolate chips or chunks (use vegan chocolate if you want plantbased version)

Intructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 150 C or 300 F. Add the oatmeal and semi crushed almonds in a glass bowl. Set this aside.

  2. Melt the butter in a pan and add the honey, brown sugar, cinnamon and vanilla essence. Mix well.

  3. Add the wet mixture to the oatmeal and almonds. Mix well and place it on a parchment lined baking tray. Toast the granola in the oven for 25 minutes and stir half way through the cooking time.

  4. Note: I like mine a bit more toasted so I kept it a bit longer in the oven.

  5. Remove the granola and stir again before you let it completely cool down. You can add the optional addings. Serve your granola with milk, yoghurt and top it off with fresh fruits.

    Tips:
     - Not a fan of strawberries? Add other dried fruits such as peaches, pineapple, banana, apples, dates after baking. The Hague Market is good place to invest in dried happiness!
