Fried Seaweed Chips

Ingredients

- 4 Nori sheets
- 3 or 4 Rice Paper sheets
- Shichimi Togarashi 
- bit of water
- oil for frying
- kitchen towel paper

Instructions

  1. Cut the Nori sheets and Rice Paper into strips with a scissor.

  2. Dab a bit of water on the shiny side of the Nori sheet and stick the smooth side of the Rice Paper to it. You can also dip the shiny side in some water and stick it to the smooth side of the Nori sheet.

  3. Then heat up some oil in a pan and fry the pieces on medium heat until the Rice Paper has puffed up. Turn the chips around and cook for about 15-20 seconds.

    N.B.: don’t overcrowd your pan!

  4. Remove them with a slotted spoon and lay them on some kitchen towel paper. Sprinkle some Shichimi Togarashi or salt & pepper and serve them immediately with my Japanese Style Smoked Salmon Dip.
