  • Vegetables

Ingredients

- half of a day old baguette
- 2 eggs
- 100 ml cream
- 100 ml milk (I’ve used soy milk)
- 2 tbsp sugar
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- ½ tsp vanilla essence / half of a vanilla bean

- butter for cooking

For garnish (optional)
- fresh strawberries / blueberries

Instructions

  1. Cut your baguette in 2 cm pieces.

  2. In a shallow bowl mix the egg, milk, cream, sugar, cinnamon, vanilla essence and pinch of salt.

  3. Dip the baguette pieces in the mixture and turn both sides evenly. I let it sit for a bit and then turn them over.

  4. Then cook de baguette slices in a lightly greased non-stick pan on medium heat. Until the slices are brown on both sides.

  5. Serve these French Toast Baguettes with maple syrup, powdered sugar and fresh fruit and enjoy!
