Easy Bagels with only 2 Ingredients

  • Prep: 10 min
  • Total: 25 min

  • Vegetables

NOTE: This recipe makes 8 bagels. For my recipe I used half of the ingredients. That's why you see 4 bagels :-)

- 2 cups self-raising flour + extra flour for dusting
- 1 cup yogurt (full fat)

- oil to grease your hands and knead the dough
- baking paper

For the bagel toppings:
- egg wash
- grated cheese (Mozzarella, Cheddar, Gouda)
- seed topping (black and white sesame seeds, chili,
garlic flakes, salt, and dried parsley)

  1. Preheat your oven/air fryer to 350°F or 175C.

  2. Mix the flour and yogurt in a bowl until it comes together.

  3. Dust your work surface with some flour and grease your hands with some oil. Knead the dough (the dough is very sticky) until it is elastic and stretchy.

  4. Divide the dough into 8 equal pieces and roll them into a loop and make a bagel.

  5. Place the bagels on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Brush them with some beaten egg and top them with some cheese and/or seeds (optional).

  6. Bake the bagels for 15-20 minutes (depending on your oven) until they are golden brown.

  7. You can store the bagels in a Ziplock bag for one day or in the refrigerator for 3 days.

    - Make a delicious bagel pizza by spreading some tomato sauce on a (baked) bagel and topping it with mini Mozzarella, cherry tomatoes and basil.
    - Give your bagel color by adding 1 or 2 tbsp beet juice or spinach juice. You can also add turmeric powder.
